From postcode to segment. Rates that better distinguish safe and dangerous routes

Standard rate tables work with regions or postcodes — every road in a single municipality gets the same score. Reality is different: two adjacent segments can show order-of-magnitude differences in both accident frequency and severity. We open up the segment level — with transparent methodology and data your actuaries can independently verify.

01

Risk score per segment, not per region

For each of the 82,720 segments we compute RSI (safety index) and H (social cost in CZK) — weighted by Reinhold severity coefficients. Your actuaries can reproduce the calculation because the formulas and source data are public. Updates land with each new Czech Police publication.

Time series of accidents — breakdown by season, type, and time of day Time series of accidents — breakdown by season, type, and time of day
02

Your claims in the context of the entire network

Matching historical claims to segments reveals patterns that get lost in regional averages — season, weather, accident type, cause. You'll identify segments where your portfolio runs markedly above the network's loss ratio and you'll be able to target prevention campaigns.

In preparation: extension by time of day — it's available in Czech Police data, integration into the platform is in progress. If you're interested in this layer, please get in touch — it helps us prioritise.

03

Added value for your customers

For fleets, taxi services, and logistics companies you can offer an interactive map of high-risk segments as part of the contract — an argument that wins in tenders. Lower claim frequency means a better loss ratio for you and concrete savings for the customer.

04

Accident detail for claims handling and forensic analysis

Both the claims handler and the analyst see, for each accident, the date, type, cause, damage in CZK, and the number of injured — plus surrounding accidents on the same segment under similar conditions. Solid context for recourse decisions and for spotting patterns that warrant attention.

Questions

What insurers ask

How do we connect to internal systems?
Each segment has an ŘSD identifier. You download a CSV from the application or consume data via the REST API and import it into your data warehouse or actuarial tooling. Claim data is not sent into the platform — you do the comparison on your side, against the ŘSD segment identifier.
Can we integrate our claims data?
No — the platform does not accept your data. It runs solely on open sources. To analyse your portfolio, you download segments with risk scores (CSV or REST API) and compare them against your claims in your own environment. The match is done via the ŘSD segment ID, which tags every accident in the application.
What do you actually get from the platform?
A web interface with map, filters, top-N segment ranking by your chosen indicator, segment detail including 12 weather combinations, and a CSV export. The same outputs are available via the REST API for programmatic integration on your side.
